Agomelatin (Valdoxan®/Thymanax®): Risiko von Hepatotoxizität

„Bei mit Agomelatin behandelten Patienten sollen regelmäßig Leberfunktionstests durchgeführt werden. Das Arzneimittel sollte sofort abgesetzt werden wenn der Anstieg der Transaminasen das 3-fache des oberen Normbereichs überschreitet oder bei Auftreten typischer Anzeichen einer möglichen Leberschädigung. Besondere Vorsicht ist geboten bei Patienten mit bereits vor der Behandlung mit Agomelatin erhöhten Transaminasenwerten oder Risikofaktoren für eine Leberschädigung.“
